Individual metal shell containers were used when loading into the Pz IV tank. For the Pak they came in wooden crates.

Stab of the II Batallion of Sicherungsregiment 57, formed from Landesschützen-Regimentsstab z.b.V. 57 in late 1944.

W.Kr.Ers.Dep does mean Military district V replacement depot, 372 being the roll number.

Eisenbahn Pioniere Regt 3 was set up on April 1, 1940. The regiment was set up by renaming the largest part of the Eisenbahn Pioniere Regt 68 as an army group to 2 battalions with 4 companies each. It is well overdue. such a pity that there are (or were) several WW2 German AFV's languishing in the open at Borden. Maybe they can get them all inside and restored now?

Vehicles in the Meldestaffel were theoretically: 6 Radfahrer, 2 Fahrer mit S-Krad, 2 fahrer mit B-Krad and 1 Fahrer driving the Kommandeurs-Pkw.

From what has been said elsewhere the man in the documentary named as Heinz Maeger is Herbert. The soldier in the Poteau film/photos remains unidentified although there was some spurious posts that his name was one Hans Tragarsky and he passed away on January 07, 2011.
