I liked Saints & Soldiers. Maybe not a great film, but it shows the war from the point of view of men (soldiers) trapped inside it. I wouldn't say that the film paints the German soldiers in a very favourable way (well, perhaps the Malmedy massacre cannot enhance the image of the German troops i...

Helmut,
G-MAX is a Canadian enterprise specialized in German WWII repros. Look at this site: http://pacificcoast.net/~gmax/ :D

Jim,
Sorry but I haven't purchased anything from them... :(

'Besides, it's not often you find an account where a Hetzer breaks through the doorways of a manor house to fire a shot from the living room that brings down a Russian bridge under construction over the Oder.... That sounds really reasonable... 8)
Is it an independent scanner or just a fitting that you plug to your scanner? :?:

Mmhhh, probably better if we turn to modern techniques... :?
Piet, how expensive is a scanner for microfilms (broad and narrow ones...)?
Thanks,

Hello John,
I've got exactly the same problem and I've been unable to solve it yet! :(
I think that if we could modify a KO slide projector to get the running microfilm through it we'd be able to read microfilms at home...

I've just finished reading Milan's story and I've found it very interesting :D , even the chapters not directly devoted to war!
Well done, Milan and keep on doing that excellent work, Chris! 8)

Hello again!
I got a short but convincent answer from the seller:
'Galland's family do this, because they have too many items from the estate'

Thanks, Alex! I'd have liked to get something with a more 'personal' mark, but there were few such items and all of them have gone higher than what I can afford. Probably they've got less than they expected? Who knows... In the end, you get something pretty anonymous with only a paper signed by Gall...

Information about Hans Liska (1907-1984) is very scanty on the net :( He was an outstanding draughstman and aquarelist. His drawings fill many pages (a good deal of colour ones, as well) of Signal magazines. Two albums with his war drawings were published in 1943 and 1944 IIRW and have been reprinte...

I got two minor trophies: A book signed by Dolfo and another one with his ex-libris! :D I'd liked to have the framed painting of his avatar but I am not in funds for that... :( Aitor I cannot understand why his son is auctioning those things. :? I've asked the seller. If he gives me more information...

Many thanks, Milan! :D Two very interesting examples of non-usual employment of Panzerfaust. You are totally right, those who give the 'big orders' while having a cup of tea under cover should experience firsthand what they cause at 'ground level'. Weapons aren't toys, war is not a game and people (...

Hi Gerhard, I am sorry if I have given the impression of being boasting about my knowledge on Panzerfausts! :( All that I know I've learned through books and a couple of rusted relics, but no book will give me the kind of information you and Haen are so kindly sharing with us! I was just trying to '...
