Can anyone suggest some interesting WWII museums, memorials etc. to see in Munich, Salzburg or near these cities? I know thet there a quite many Third Reich buildings in Munich but maybe someone knows more. I have tried to get also more info from the web but did not found much.

I saw recently commemorative plate for taking Elbrus mountain in 1942.

It was marked "Geb.Jäg.Reg 39". When I started to check to what division this unit belonged I found nothing. Does it maens that this plate was just a fake with regiment number what even never existed?
