Hi Folks. Does anybody have a copy of the a/m for sale or willing to swop for an alternative Eastern front biography they may not have read in English (e.g. "The Outermost Frontier" by Helmut Pabst), I have a number of such biographies in English language if any member would like to exchan...

Re: New books to be published!
At $23.55 for Jason D. Mark's history of the 24th Pz. Division at Stalingrad this is extremely good value by way of viewpoint, Amazon state copies of the original retail for $900 on browsing the ABE books website they have a 2003 copy selling for $2,796.47.... and that excludes postage.

Re: New Graf Strachwitz biography
I think you mean George Nipe's "Blood Steel and Myth." Yes, he tends to be rather critical of Strachwitz's performance during Kursk, and seems to side more with Decker. Of course I really don't know what the truth of the matter is. It is the same with General Hermann Balck. He is consider...

Perekop Isthmus, Crimea.
Hi Folks. Can anyone provide a link to operational maps of the Wehrmacht Crimean campaign during WW2 with particular reference to the Perekop Isthmus? This region would appear to be an ideal locale for contemporary metal detecting war relics given it's "bottleneck" status. Awhile back I ca...
