Does anyone know what happened to gun after it was used in the capture of Sevastopol ?

the prologue states that the subject was in the 144th Gebirgsjager regiment of the 3rd Gebirgsjager Division.
I can find no reference to such a unit.
What gives?

Does anyone have information regarding the 32 Infanterie Division of 11 Korp, 16 Armee in north Russia? My cousin was in the 4th Regiment.

My cousin Walter was in regiment 4 of the 32 Infanterie Division. He was killed in North Russia in August 1942 in the Demjansk region.
Does anyone have any information regarding Walter?
