Re: Range of 15cm sIG 33

Besides that does anyone know if the new 15cm L/12 designed by Skoda for the "Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär" had a different performance compared to the original 15cm IG 33 L/11,4?

Re: Range of 15cm sIG 33

I now stumbled over a "15cm sIG 33/1", a modified version mounted on "Sturm-Infanteriegeschütz 33B" & "15 cm Schweres Infanteriegeschütz 33 (Sf) auf Panzerkampfwagen 38(t)" aka Grille.
Does anyone know the difference to the original version?

Range of 15cm sIG 33

Hi Can anyone tell me the maximum range of the "15cm sIG 33"? I found 4700m in most sources but either it's listed as "effective range" or "maximum range", I don't think that this is the same. I also heard that more than 6 charges could be used but only with allowance o...

Redeployment of German Units over the course of "Case White"

Hi Can anyone tell me if any bigger units(divisions and bigger) were redeployed to the West while the Polish campaign(general in September 1939) was still rolling(general in September 1939)? Share of ammunition types of the total capacity

Hi Can someone tell me if the ammunition load of tanks, tank destroyers, AT-guns, etc. had a set allotment or was did the amount of the ammunitions types change depending on the mission type? For example the Panzer IV J, a total of 87 rounds were carried but how was the share of the different ammuni...

Re: How much ammunition did each soldier carry?

Well the MP 40 can be corrected to a total of 180, it seems that weapon was not transported while being loaded as it could go easily off so all magazines where in the ammo storage that the soldier carried and that was only for 6 magazines , also it tended to jam when the magazines were fully loaded ...

Re: How much ammunition did each soldier carry?

I'm interested if this layout was still so at the end of the war(1944-45), specifically for the Ardennenoffensive aka Battle of the Bulge: The "early" values I have are: 98K: 60 + 5 in the rifle MP 40: 192 + 32 in the MP StG 44: 180 + 30 in the gun leMG 42: 2 500 sMG 42: 4750 I'm especiall...

Hi Can anyone tell me something about a formation called "Gruppe Z"? I see them appear in early October 1942 north-east of Millerowo in the sector of the 8th Italian army, later in October it moves north-west of Millerowo. So far I haven't found any info what this "Gruppe Z" coul...

Info about the "Gen. Kdo. z.b.V.(mot)" Caucasus 1942

Hi
I can see the so called "Gen. Kdo. z.b.V.(mot)" on the east front maps starting 3.10.1942 at Stalino, later it moved to an area south of the Manytsch canal and north of the 1. Panzerarmee.
Does anyone know what this units was and what subordinate units it had?
