6pdr AT Guns

All, I've been chasing down information lately on the Home Guard, and have come across an oddity; i've got pics and details of almost every one of the incredible variety of obsolete, unsuitable and downright dangerous weapons they were issued with....but also its frequently said that some units wer...

Were the rounds standarized in mm? Or did they have to rechamber captured artillery peices? Most guns were kept in their original calibre. Guns that were widely used, for example the 122mm M1938 the Germans put the ammo in to production in Germany A few guns were re-bored - both the Russian 85mm an...

Panzerschreck Penetration

Gents The penetration data often quoted for the panzerscreck looks very high compared with that for the Bazooka "The armor penetration of both RPzB.Gr. 4322 and 4992 was 230mm (9 in.), at a 60° impact angle this figure was reduced to 160mm (6.3 in.). " From http://www.geocities.com/Augusta...

Skimming through them it is evident the British artillery officers were taking a close look at forigen artillery, but printing very little detail of use in the JRA. Or, perhaps they wernt really comprehending what they saw. The mos...
