Well, I don't know how to explain that exactly, but more like "here" than "hair" :)

Re: NARA trade / exchange

I just finished a transaction with "Werter" - Ivan - and I have been satisfied with the proceedings. Very good communication - very good service - very quick response. Rolls were ready for download within minutes after my payment had gone through. Recommendable source.

Re: 16th Luftwaffe Field Division

Hello Dan and Lorenz, Lorenz - perfectly OK. It would be interesting to see those OB-West NARA files. Getting back to Dan's original question, I found a NARA document in my files last night, "Report on Commitment of the 16 Air Force Field Division in Normandy on both sides of the Orne outlet 1 ...

Re: 16th Luftwaffe Field Division

Hello Lorenz, Are you absolutely sure about that source..? According to the war diary for Pz.Gr.W - "Kriegstagesbuch Panzer-Armeeoberkommando 5", at least on June 28th 16.Lw.Feld-Div was assigned to LXXXVI A.K., along with 21.Pz.Div., while Pz.Lehr-Div. was assigned to XXXXVII.Pz.Korps. Ju...

Re: AFV gunner's GLOVES or MITTENS

I do not suppose things were that different in WW2, but the casings from for instance a 105mm tank gun - used in Leopard 1, M60 etc - were not as hot as you might think. The main reason why casings may be left in a bag/container during action, is not that they are to hot to handle, but the fact that...

Re: DKW NZ 350-1 questions

Hej Kristian,

Any help re this part would be greatly appreciated :) ;

DKW NZ 350-1 questions

Hello from a newbie in Denmark... I am seriously thinking of buying a 1944 DKW NZ 350-1 motorcycle, which I intend to restore as accurately as possible. I have a few questions which I hope someone could help me with; To my knowledge, vehicles, including bikes, at that time in the war were delivered ...
