One thing you have to take into consideration: In May 1940 the Russians did not have their best tanks yet (T34 but kV1), but remember that at the time the Germans had only about 600 Pz. III-IV and another 600 Pz38-35. The bulk of German tanks was still formed by 2,000 Pz.I and Pz.II. However, I thin...

The richest men in the Third Reich

I really didn't know where to post this. Well here it goes. Who was the richest man in the Third Reich? Who was the Bill Gates of the Third Reich? Göring? Also, what about Hitler himself? Was he rich and corrupt like Sadam Hussein? What known properties did he have before and after 1933? Was the Ber...

I would like to thank Kitsune for his long and interesting reply. It really makes us all think. The scennario I proposed was Germany victorious with all continental Europe under her control by 1943. That assumes Barbarrosa is sucessful. Lenningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad are conquered by the end of 1...

Had Germany won the war...

Had Germany won the war by 1943, would a united Europe with no borders be better today? Assuming Hitler, Hess, etc have died already. Economically, how would Europe rival the US today? and militarily? living standard? etc. Wouldn't be better for the world to have the Soviet Union defeated by 1945 in...

Yes Göring appears a few seconds in the Bunker conference at the beginning of the movie, before he left Berlin. Just like Himmler he only appears at the beginning of the movie.

The movie was great but there were some things that I would like to comment. 1. When Hitler kisses Eva in public. Could this have happened? The Führer kissing a woman in front of his staff????? 2. Bruno Ganz acting is excellent, but phisically he does not look like Hitler. Still he is better than pr...

Thanks for the reply. Well yes I planned to do poster reproductions with a high resolution scanner/printer. That is why I wanted to check for the copyright first. I will keep searching about the copyright.

Movie Poster Copyright: Desert Fox 1951

I recently bought a poster reproduction of the 1951 movie: "the Desert Fox. I was wondering a about the copyright for this poster. Is the poster copyrighted? I made a search for "Desert Fox" in the copyright.gov website and it says it is a Motion picture photoplay (L) and still copyri...

Thank you.

I have yet another question. Did actually Roehm wanted to do a "coup d'etat" against Hitler? or that was only an excuse to kill him?, and What do you guys do you think would have happened had Roehm been sucessful with his plans?

Thanks again.

Roehm killing, SA vs SS, etc

What were Roehm intentions in 1934 before he was killed? I read he wanted a second revolution and since he was the Chief of the powerful SA with about 4 million men (is 4 million right?), Hitler wanted him removed so he ordered to kill him. What were Roehm's intentions? and What happened to the SA m...
