Artillery drawings

Hi Folks I'm back with another request for information. This time on someone else's behalf. I'm trying to find 3-view drawings, the technical drawing type, of WW2 artillery. They need not be wonderfully detailed but should have some indication of scale if possible. I have found some on Russian guns ...

Phylo I don't think that the same legislation was used to power nationalisation as was used during the war. I am think that one of the acts was called something simple like 'the War emergency powers act' and specifically ceased once the war was over. Nationalisation was done under separate acts I th...

Phylo I'm afraid I can't quote any specific examples but you might form a better picture if you look up the legislation that allowed the government to effectively control ANY production, resource or labour force that they considered essential for the 'war effort'. From a dim memory of school history...

Another wargamer here but I'm only just assembling my first complete set of forces for WW2 era. This is quite strange as I actually started with an interest in WW2 and naval gaming back in the 60's and then spread into other periods. I tried boad wargames but couldn't get into them, too abstract and...

Thanks again Leo, I knew it wouldn't be simple, it never is. That info helps a lot and, in the rules the orbats are for, portee and half-tracked would be much the same anyway.

Hi Leo Thanks for that, exactly the level of detail I could not find elsewhere. 6 gun batteries would make them fit the 38 vehicles produced, I was incorrectly assuming artillery organisation of 12 gun batteries. I'd agree that the orbats on your site are excellent (no need for modesty), that's why ...

Thanks again Phylo Another valid possibility except that it is also separately listed in the orbats, in this case clearly enough to know that it IS the PzJg I that is meant. There seem to have been about the same number of PzJg I and StuG IIIB - about 180 of each. When I have completed all the army ...

Hi Phylo I'd thought of that too, there were supposedly plenty available by May 1940, but the Assault gun uses a different symbol on the charts and there are some AG units which I'm assuming are StuG III B. To be honest the symbols for these units are not all that clear and I may be misinterpreting ...

SP Infantry guns in France 1940

Hi Folks Thanks for the reply to my last query on bridging equipment but the post and my original registration seem to have disappeared, anyone know why ? Here is another query that I'm having trouble with trying to assemble lists for the France 1940 campaign. I am using the orbat.com lists as a sou...
