Red Army/USSR Items

As long as their is a market, right now we have some early early plans on the drawing board for perhaps a Kursk shirt or perhaps some other USSR items but the market is very small for such items.

Thanks! and new Designs Available!

Great Poster. I will add that to our list. We like to get requests because this way we produce what our customers want. Just recently we finished up embroidered shirts of the following:

Gotha 242

I am looking for any photos of the Gotha 242 glider, especially ones that show camoflage patterns. I searched the net pretty week and have a few but I am hoping to find others through this forum. Thanks.

Chivalry?

Related to this topic I seemed to remember either reading or being told the the German Fallschirmjager Commander and British Airborne commander had dinner one evening during the fighting around Primosole Bridge....any truth to that, anyone heard anything similar?

De Este Book

A clarification of my ealier post. I only meant that De Este's book breaks down the whole operation similarly to how Ambrose broke down D-Day. I agree that Ambrose overlooked the English/Commonwealth contribution and I also agree his "historian" credentials are questionable when compared t...

Detailed book on Kreta

Another good source is Nasse Book "The Invasion of Crete" It does supurb job breaking down each section of the invasion with maps showing drop zones and pictures. Has numerous first hand accounts from soldiers on both sides about different aspects of the whole operation.

Sicily Battle around Primosole Bridge etc...

Carol De Este's book the Battle of Sicily has a good chapter or two on that fighting there. His book is to the Battle of Sicily what Ambrose's D-Day book is to the Normany Invasion. Try to get your hands on a copy.

I worked with a man whose Uncle was in the 4th Armored. He shot down a P51 and was chewed out by a Captain. He responded to the Captain that the P51 did not dip it's wings like it was supposed to in a recognition symbol. They captured the pilot as he descended from the aircraft to the ground and he ...
